Co-Hosts Best Classic Tours

As producers, since 1993, of the Vancouver All British Field Meet (dubbed The Greatest Show on British Wheels), and also the Vancouver All-British Whistler Run, we have learned a thing or two about the wonderful world of classic cars and what it takes to create a successful show at which more than 550 cars are displayed and more than 5,000 enthusiasts in attendance.

In addition to the Vancouver ABFM, launching Western Driver magazine and growing it into a successful regional, automotive monthly publication, and now an online digital magazine, was a lot of hard but rewarding work because the content fuelled our passion—the classic car hobby and those involved in restoring and driving their vehicles, as well as those companies in the restoration field.

Knowing the market and the people, it was natural to utilize our experience by organizing a classic car tour to visit England last fall.

Nostalgia plays a big role in deciding which venues to visit on this type of tour. In our case, backgrounds growing up with British cars as the family daily-driver were a motivating factor in the creation of a tour.

Last fall, the inaugural Best Brit Classic Tour 2015 was a sold-out hit with the 33 enthusiasts who joined us to visit the iconic venues of Brooklands, Goodwood, Beaulieu, and factory tours of Aston Martin Works Heritage and Morgan. Additionally, interesting historical side trips, which included Oxford (walking in the path of Inspector Morse), Bletchley Park (the movie Imitation Game) and The Cotswolds (an area of iconic British pubs and outstanding natural beauty) formed part of the non-car-related venues.

A relaxing schedule with flex time, comfortable four-plus-star hotels and a private luxury coach all added to the enjoyment and will once again be included in the 2016 Tour.

As tour hosts, together with our tour partners Expedia-Cruiseship Centres, we enjoy getting to know everyone in the group because we understand that while planning and schedules are important, it’s the people who make the difference in the best tours.

Come join us in comfort and style and let’s have fun together exploring the wonderful world of classic car culture and history.
